Hi I wear hearing aids am having wax problems and wonder if i can syringe ears myself or how can I deal with the ongoing problem of wax build up
You are best to see a Dr to see how bad the problem is and your Dr is best to syringe it out.
Prevention by not using Cotton ear buds and by using a product called Audiclean

I have a BMI of 36 and I wanted to loose weight as soon as possible. I'm not so fond of eating but I don't know why my metabolism seems to be so slow. I started taking xenical and i purchased reductil 15mg yet not taking it for the meantime.
Will it be safe to take both at the same time?

Please advise me. Thank you very much!
It is not recommended to take both at the same time. Discuss with your doctor what is best for you

I am 50 kgs over my 'healthy weight' I find it very difficult to loose weight because I have polycistic ovaries syndrome. I am currently taking duromine 30mg (1 month so far) & it has done nothing, so now Im taking duromine 30mg once a day & reductill once a day. Is this safe & will I loose weight using both?
No, it is not recommended to take both at once, you should consuld your Doctor if one is not working alone.

I have been following Dr Tim's Success diet for 2 weeks and found I'm having heart palpitations. Is this a result of the ketosis? Should I continue on this diet?
Heart palpitations have nothing to do with ketosis. But you should stop the Success diet immediately and consult your doctor.

Hi
I have Interstitial Cystitis, I would like to know if any of the pain relief medications irritate the bladder? I take Panadeine or ibuprofen when needed. In all the literature that I have on the subject, it hasn't been mentioned. I'm trying desperately to eliminate any irritants to reach some stability. Your advice would be much appreciated
Kind Regards
Rae
Hi
those 2 pain relievers shouldnt irritate the bladder.

I really want to loose about 10 - 12 kg's in approx 6-7 months...wats the best way i can do that?
Hi

Xenical is a very good product. You will need to talk to a pharmacist to see if its suitable for you. Or Optifast is another good product as well.

Good Afternoon,
I have a couple of questions I hope you can help me with. I used to be prescribed a product I used for Sinus problems it was called Tobi Spray (I don't recall the correct spelling) Iwas wondering if it is still available? The second question is. Can you still get plain Sudafed without pain relief added? Or can it be obtained with a prescription? I thank you for your help
Lorraine
Tobispray is discontinued - consult your Dr for an alternative.
Also, Sudafed can only be obtained with a prescription. However the alternative product with no pain relief "phenylephrine" (Sudafed PE) is over the counter.

Hi There, I was hoping you may be able to tell me if there is anything i can take / do to delay my period by a few days? without being on the pill.
I will be camping with some mates and where we will be if very deserted, no toilets - nothing. I honestly cannot think of anything worse. Weve had this trip planned for 18 months so not going isnt an option. Any advice? Please.
thank you zoe.
you willl need to talk to your doctor about this - however, I dont think there is a solution other than the pill.

Hi I have been taking xenical for almost 4 weeks and have only lost 0.4kg, which I feel I would have lost with a low fat diet anyway, I have had no side effects at all and was wondering if it works for eveyone? thanyou
Hi
It does work for most people - on average 4kg in the first month and 2 kgs after that per month. However it largely depends also on your diet, how much you eat and how much you exericise. Please call 1800 000529 (Xplan) to discuss this further.

Do you sell powdered pro-biotics for children?
There is a product called Inner health for children - but this is a fridge line so you will need to visit a pharmacy in person

My son is taking Eye-Q to try improve his concentration on recommendation, when taking the eye-q should you be following a particular diet ie preservative free?
No special Diet is required - a normal healthy balanced diet is recommended. However, avoiding too much preservatives would not hurt.

I have been prescribed Tofranil as a treatment for Interstitial Cystitis, and I would have preferred to try Amitriptyline first.I know that Tofranil is an anti-depressant also, but as far as I have been able to discover the Amitriptyline has had much more research done on it for this illness. What are your thoughts please
With Thanks
Elvee
Hi
Its ultimately up to your doctor as everyones's condition is unique and is dependant on your condition and other factors.
