Description...
Myrrh has many antiseptic
and disinfectant properties and is used most often as a deodoriser. It fights through its
direct antibacterial action. Myrrh has a history of being used as an ingredient in
perfumes, cosmetics and in ancient times for embalming and as an insect repellent.

Take internally for
mouth and throat
infections, gum disease, pharyngitis. Myrrh can be used as a mouthwash or gargle.
sinusitis,
asthma,
chest congestion, coughs,
colds,
boils.
Apply externally
for wounds, abrasions.
Caution...
Myrrh may cause stomach
upset or diarrhoea.
Large amounts may have
violent laxative action and may cause sweating, nausea, vomiting, kidney problems, or
accelerated heartbeat.
Only use
recommended doses. Do not use for extended periods as it can cause damage to
the kidneys. If you have kidney disease or are pregnant, consult you health care
professional before starting on this herb.
