Growing Evidence supports the protective effects of antioxidants
A growing number of evidence-based studies from around the world reinforce the health benefits of antioxidants on ageing and protection from age-related conditions. The OPCs in Anthogenol are backed by numerous clinical studies and many years of experience.
OPCs are short for oligomeric proanthocyanidins, OPCs were discovered and isolated in France by Professor Jack Masquelier, the condensed forms of a vegetal molecule known as flavan-3-ol. This molecule is not naturally produced by the body and cannot be synthetically reproduced. OPCs are concentrated in the woody parts of plants (i.e. bark, peel, seeds and shells) typically discarded when preparing meals. They may not taste great or particularly enhance the foods we enjoy eating, but they’re full of natural antioxidants.
Professor Masquelier’s distinguished scientific track record includes half a century of research, a multitude of patents including the proprietary process used to isolate the OPCs in Anthogenol.
These OPCs appear to have an affinity for vascular tissue (the network of arteries, veins and smaller vessels). They strongly inhibit several enzymes involved in the degradation of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, the main structural components of the extravascular matrix.
Anthogenol is recommended for anyone (20 years plus) who wants to age healthily, and especially for those with a history of or susceptibility to:
• Vascular problems
• Circulatory problems
• Eye problems
During decades of use and millions of patient days, there have been no serious adverse side effects as a result of taking the OPCs in Anthogenol on their own, or with other dietary supplements or prescription medicines. If you are taking warfarin, you will need to see your doctor before starting on Anthogenol so your INR can be monitored and warfarin dose adjusted. While no adverse effects have been reported it is recommended you seek medical advice before starting on Anthogenol if you are pregnant.
Anthogenol - suggested dose of one capsule per day, taken before a meal, has shown benefits after three months (although you may feel benefits sooner). In some cases, such as improved endurance and varicose veins, you may need to take two or three capsules daily of Anthogenol
Adults take one (1) capsule daily of Anthogenol
*100mg Vitis Vinifera extract (equivalent to dry seed 12g)
*40mg Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)
*20mg Silicon Dioxide
Anthogenol can not be generalized or compared to other vitis vinifera products or supplements, due to the highly specialised, proprietary isolation process.
