Blackmores Cold & Flu Day/Night is a herbal formulation that supports the immune system, which fights colds and flu, whilst providing symptom relief during the day and calming relief at night.

DAY FORMULA
Echinacea- Studies suggest Echinacea juice may shorten the duration and improve recovery time of colds. Echinacea has been shown to act mainly on non specific cellular immunity. It increases the number of spleen cells and white blood cells.
Holy basil- has traditionally been used as a remedy for colds and the flu in Ayurvedic medicine. It is used to help clear mucus from the lungs and upper respiratory tract. Its pungency and penetrating nature clears 'dampness' and 'toxic ama' (mucus congestion). Its action in fevers and the flu is to encourage sweating and it therefore assists in lowering the temperature.
Eucalyptus- helps relieve catarrh (nasal congestion) and coughs associated with colds and upper respiratory tract infections
Willow bark- The extract of Salix alba (willow bark) contains a therapeutic level of the active constituent salicin, for use as a natural analgesic. Salicylic acid is the natural forerunner of a commonly used pain relieving medication and shares many of its analgesic properties. Willow bark acts as an antipyretic and anti-inflammatory in addition to its analgesic actions, and is indicated for conditions accompanied by fever and headaches such as the common cold and influenza.
NIGHT FORMULA
Hops- used as a sedative, based on a long history of use in well established systems of traditional medicine.
The night formula also contains eucalyptus, willow bark and holy basil for the benefits listed above.
Adults - DAY DOSAGE: Take 1 capsule three times daily (morning, midday and afternoon) with food.
NIGHT DOSAGE : Take 1 capsule before retiring, or as professionally prescribed.
Children 2-12 years - We recommend Blackmores Olive Leaf Extract.
