During pregnancy and lactation the need for vitamins and minerals increases greatly. Elevit is formulated to provide additional vitamins and minerals to meet the increased needs of the mother-to-be and to provide her growing baby with the best possible conditions and nourishment throughout its whole development - from conception, through pregnancy and on to breastfeeding.
Pregnancy supplements similar to Elevit have been shown in clinical trials to reduce the likelihood of certain birth defects, such as spina bifida when taken in the early stage of pregnancy.
Directions
Take one tablet daily, or as directed by your healthcare professional.
Take Elevit if possible for at least one month before pregnancy, throughout pregnancy and the breastfeeding period.
Ingredients
ELEVIT contains vitamins and minerals for pregnancy and lactation (breast feeding).
Each tablet contains 11 vitamins:

Constipation (difficulty emptying our bowels). The iron in ELEVIT may cause your stools to become a black colour - however, this is not a cause for concern. These are the more common side effects of ELEVIT. Mostly these are mild.

Tell your doctor, midwife or pharmacist if you notice anything else that is making you feel unwell, even if it is not on this list.
