Gaviscon Tablets 48 Peppermint
Gaviscon Relief Tablets bring fast, soothing relief from the burning pain of heartburn and the discomfort of indigestion. Helps protect inflamed oesophagael tissue - helps prevent further inflammation by forming a physical barrier to reflux. The alginate 'raft' helps to keep gastric contents in place, thereby reducing the likelihood of these irritating the delicate lining of the oesophagus.
Dose
Adults: 2 tablets as required, after meals and half an hour before
going to bed at night, up to 4 times a day. A dose may be increased to
a maximum of 4 tablets if required.
Children 6-12 years: 1-2 tablets as required, after meals and half an hour before going to bed at night, up to 4 times daily.
Tablets should be thoroughly chewed and swallowed when they become
sticky. This may be followed by a drink of water, if desired. Chewing
may be helped if the tablets are first broken and taken a little at a
time. This product may be less effective if you have decreased amount
of gastric acid produced in your stomach.

Gaviscon tablets contain sodium and calcium. If you have been advised
to follow a diet restricted in any of these, please consult your doctor
before taking this product.
The maximum total daily intake (16 tablets) for adults contains 984mg
of sodium, 1.28g of calcium carbonate and 9.1g of mannitol. Products
may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.
Phenylketonurics: contains phenyalanine
Ingredients
Each chewable tablet contains 250mg sodium alginate, 133.5mg sodium bicarbonate and 80mg calcium carbonate.
Gaviscon tablets are sugar and gluten free.
