Sports Multi contains the broad spectrum of nutrients required for growth and development, including the entire B complex vitamins, antioxidants, and the minerals calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, potassium and manganese.
During periods of increased physical activity a number of essential nutrients can be lost. This can lead to fatigue, irritability, poor concentration and decreased resistance to infections.
Just one Sports Multi tablet provides more than 100% of the Australian Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) of Vitamins C, B1, B2, B6 and B12 for children 2 to 13 years of age.
Minerals – may be required in increased amounts during exercise. A number of minerals are lost via perspiration and active children may find mineral supplementation to be of benefit.
B Vitamins – are vital to participate in many biochemical reactions, including the conversion of food to energy. Energy is necessary for children to maintain their high activity levels. These vitamins are required during development to help build healthy cells and are beneficial for dermatitis, dryness of the scalp or skin, and during courses of antibiotics. As they are water soluble, B complex vitamins aren’t stored in the body in large amounts, making daily consumption necessary.
Anti-oxidants – including Vitamins C & E, bioflavonoids, together with Zinc and Manganese can be found in Sports Multi. These nutrients greatly enhance each others effectiveness when taken together. During exercise and increased activity, the body produces more free radicals. Although generated by normal metabolism, free radicals are chemically unstable molecules. Pleasant tasting, chewable Strawberry flavoured tablet
Dosage
2 to 4 years (weight: 12-16kg), one tablet daily.
4 to 7 years (weight: 16-24kg), one to two tablets daily.
8 years and over (weight: 25 kg and over), two tablets daily.
Tablets can be chewed, crushed and sprinkled on food.
