The ibuprofen in Nurofen is easy on the stomach. When taken as directed, ibuprofen has shown to be better tolerated than aspirin and at least as well tolerated as paracetamol.
When you take Nurofen according to the directions on the pack for short term conditions, such as pain and fever, you can take it on an empty stomach with fluid alone.
If you prefer, you can also take Nurofen Tablets with food. However, even though you absorb the same amount as when you take them on an empty stomach, if you take them after food, it might take longer for you to feel the same effect.
