Please note: Optifast is recommended to be taken under the supervision of a health professional. It is indicated for persons with a Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than 30 or a BMI greater than 27 with medical complications associated with obesity such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure or non-insulin dependent diabetes.
To use: Simply add one sachet of Optifast to 200mL of cold water. Stir, blend or shake until the contents of the sachet are fully dissolved. Do not use boiling water. Add more water if you would prefer a larger shake or a more diluted taste. The colder the water, the better the taste! For a delicious Banana Frappee, simply blend with ice cubes!
Although it may be tempting, You should not substitute the water for low fat milk as the main ingredient for the Optifast shakes is skimmed milk powder. Even though low fat milk contains less calories than full cream milk it will inhibit your weight loss as it still provides additional calories from the added protein and carbohydrates. Optifast recommendation would be to use water. For optimal results it is best to stick as closely as possible to the guidelines provided as increasing your calorie intake will make your weight loss slower.
One sachet of Optifast Banana shake can be replaced by one of any of the Optifast products.
