Optifast VLCD Chicken Soup Sachets

Very Low Energy Diet: Replace all meals with four sachets (50g each) per day. Additionally, 2L of calorie free fluids and 2 cups of low starch, green vegetables should be consumed.

Optifast VLCD Chicken Soup can also be used incombination with Optifast VLCD Milkshake. Two sachets of Optifast VLCD Chicken Soup and two sachets of Optifast VLCD Milkshake per day.

Formally Modifast

Uses:
Total food replacement for the overweight. Optifast is intended for use as part of the management of the moderately to severely overweight, even when there is associated secondary pathology e.g. non-insulin-dependent diabetes, hypertension, osteoarthritis, hypothyroidism corrected by replacement therapy, gynaecological disorders, hyperlipidaemia or where obesity is an impediment to surgery.

Monitoring:
At the commencement of treatment, patients should be checked for normal renal and hepatic function and thereafter regular checks for weight, blood pressure and urinalysis.

Directions

Add the content of one sachet (50g) to 200-250mL of cold or warm (max 60C) water and stir well. Mix immediately prior to use.

Warnings

Very low calorie diets (VLCD's) should only be used where rapid weight loss is essential to health and wellbeing as recommended and supervised by medical professionals experienced in the use of modified fasting.

Unsuitable for use by pregnant or nursing women or by infants or children.
