S-26 LF has been specially designed for babies with lactose intolerance.
Having a baby with feeding problems can be distressing. Help is available - you should always consult your healthcare professional for advice.
The 3 step 'S-26 LF' nutritional plan will ensure that your baby receives quality nutrition to meet their needs at each step of their development, from birth to 'toddlerhood'.
Step 1 - from birth: S-26 LF can be given to your formula-fed baby from birth. It has undergone a special process to remove lactose and is a suitable option when a lactose free formula has been recommended.
Step 2 - 6-24 months: S-26 LF can continue to be given to older babies. Solid foods should be introducted into your baby's diet from 6 months of age, and your healthcare professional will be able to advise you on a suitable diet.
Instructions
- Always wash and dry hands before preparing formula. Wash bottles, teats, caps and knife.
- After washing, sterilise by boiling for 5 minutes. Keep bottles capped until use.
- Boil fresh drinking water for 5 minutes. Allow to cool. Consult feeding guide on can for quantities of water and formula.
- Prepare each bottle individually. Pour in cooled boiled water.
- Fill the provided scoop with S-26 LF and level off with knife. Always add 1 scoop (8.7g) per 60mL water.
- Cap bottle and shake. Test temperature on wrist before feeding. Discard any unfinished feeds.
- Use contents of can within 4 weeks of opening. Keep can closed with plastic lid and store in a cool, dry place (eg pantry).
Warnings
Breast milk is best for babies. Before you decide to use this product, consult your doctor or health worker for advice.
Follow instructions exactly. Prepare bottles and teats as directed. Do not change proportions of powder except on medical advice. Incorrect preparation can make your baby very ill. S-26 LF is not suitable for general use and should be used under medical supervision. It is not suitable for galactosaemics.
Ingredients
Corn syrup solids, vegetable oils [palm, soybean, coconut and oleic (sunflower or safflower)], whey protein concentrate, milk protein isolate, soy lecithin, taurine, nucleotides (cytidine-5'-monophosphate, disodium uridine-5'monophosphate, adenosine-5'-monophosphate, disodium inosine-5'-monophosphate, disodium guanosine-5'-monophosphate), L-carnitine.
Minerals: Potassium chloride, sodium and potassium phosphates, calcium citrate, potassium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate, calcium and magnesium phosphates, sodium chloride, calcium hydroxide, magnesium carbonate, potassium hydroxide, ferrous, zinc, copper and manganese sulphates, potassium iodide, sodium selenite.
Vitamins: Inositol, vit C, choline chloride, vit E, niacin, calcium pantothenate, vit B2, vit A, vit B1, vit B6, natural beta-carotene, folate, vit K, biotin, vit D3, vit B12.
S-26 LF protein source is whey protein concentrate and milk protein isolate. It has the lactose replaced with corn syrup solids. Contains milk proteins and soy lecithin.
